Indianapolis Fun

When we lived in Indianapolis there were so many fun, family activities to do. Our favorite places to go to were the Indianapolis Zoo, the Indianapolis Children’s Museum, and the many parks around the city. Indianapolis is a very family friendly city.

The Zoo was our boys favorite place to go. We were able to get the year long pass so it made going very relaxed. If we were not able to see everything we just came back another time or if we were having a meltdown or needed a nap… you get it.  It was awesome to come and go as we pleased. The other great thing is that a lot of annual zoo passes across the nation discount you if you are to travel to another zoo, science center, aquarium, etc. It makes for a great stop when you are road tripping or visiting family. Ill leave a link below.  Even if you are going just for a day trip you could spend a fun full day at the zoo!

Our boys also love the Children’s Museum.  It is a nationally ranked museum which means it has all the bells and whistles. There are dinosaurs, hands on activities, rotating exhibits, and a play area for babies and younger kids; (and hand sanitizer stations everywhere- good for the flu season).  They continue to add/ rotate exhibits and things to do. We loved the baby room where they had a play area with soft toys and obstacles in a padded, gated off area so the babies could roam and not get stepped on.

We also loved their many parks. They have many splash pads as well for the warmer seasons. One of our favorite parks was one of the now two Colts sponsored parks. One had a timed obstacle courses and places to work out.  They even have a spot to see how fast you can sprint. Our boys loved to race there.

We really loved living in Indiana. There are so many great places to go and explore.
